What LegalClock Does

LegalClock is a Chrome browser extension that helps attorneys track billable time directly in their browser. It runs entirely on your device and requires no account, login, or internet connection to function.

LegalClock collects no data. Everything stays on your device. No account required. No servers involved.

Data Stored on Your Device

The following data is stored locally using Chrome's built-in storage API (chrome.storage.local). This data never leaves your browser.

Time entries & logs: to track billable hours
Client / matter names: to organize time by client
Billing rates: to calculate revenue
User preferences: to remember your settings

All of the above is stored locally on your device only.

Data We Collect

None. LegalClock does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data or usage information. There are no analytics, no tracking pixels, no cookies, and no third-party scripts.

Permissions Used

LegalClock requests only one Chrome permission:

storage: Used to save your time entries, client names, billing rates, and preferences locally on your device. This permission does not allow access to your browsing history, passwords, or any other browser data.

Third-Party Services

LegalClock does not use or integrate with any third-party services, APIs, or analytics platforms. There is no external communication of any kind.

Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally in your browser, you have full control over it at all times. You can delete your data by clearing the extension's storage through Chrome settings, or by simply uninstalling the extension. Once removed, all data is permanently deleted.

Children's Privacy

LegalClock is designed for legal professionals and is not directed at children under the age of 13. Since we collect no data from anyone, no special provisions are required under COPPA or similar regulations.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever update this privacy policy, the changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Since the extension collects no data, meaningful changes are unlikely.
